The funding is part of $300 million in grants for bus and trolley projects that the U.S. Department of Transportation announced Thursday.

The deal will add 10 employees to S&W and increase its market in Western New York, according to the company. S&W, founded 15 years ago, specializes in petroleum equipment, service, and construction.

SALINA — Zerodraft of CNY, Inc. has brought its heating and air-conditioning business in-house and has added more employees as a result.

The Utica-Rome and Binghamton areas both lost 100 construction jobs during the 12-month period.

The board approved a total of $30 million in funding, which it said will help retain more than 500 existing jobs and create 29 new ones throughout New York. ESD noted in a news release that all funding is contingent upon final passage of the state budget.
