New York's major housing agencies and the Division of Housing and Community Renewal held their first joint board meeting Thursday and approved a grant for a Lewis County project.

Snow Belt Housing Co., Inc. received a $300,000 grant to finance home improvements at 32 homes in Lewis County. Snow Belt is a housing nonprofit based in Lowville.

Le Moyne College broke ground today on a $20 million science facility that will serve as a cornerstone in the school's science and health programs.
The 48,000-square-foot facility will connect to the Coyne Science Center, one of the college's original buildings. Work is scheduled to end in late 2011.

FAYETTEVILLE — John Arquette Properties, a real-estate firm that’s operated in Central New York since February 2009, is planning to open a new office in the Kimbrook Plaza in the town of Clay.
