SYRACUSE — Raymond V. Grimaldi’s entry into the accounting field was by chance more than by design. In 1959, Grimaldi, the founding partner of Grimaldi & Nelkin, CPAs, PLLC, attended Syracuse University on a gymnastics scholarship, majoring in math and science, and interested in chemical engineering. He later changed his mind.

GEDDES — The organizer of one of Central New York’s biggest summertime attractions — the DuPont Syracuse Nationals — is expecting to attract a more geographically diverse crowd for the 11th edition of the popular car show.

OWEGO — Upstate Shredding, LLC and its sister company Ben Weitsman & Son, Inc. will soon add to their growing collection of acquisitions with the addition of a scrap yard in Jamestown.

SYRACUSE — A DeWitt real-estate company and a Syracuse investment-brokerage firm have teamed up to buy a downtown Syracuse building. One of the firms will soon move into the structure, while its partner is satisfied with its current office location.
