4 Syracuse football players make preseason All-ACC team

They play defense and special teams, respectively. Defensive end Alton Robinson (Converse, Texas) and safety Andre Cisco (Valley Stream, N.Y.) made the All-ACC team defense. Meanwhile, placekicker Andre Szmyt (Vernon Hills, Illinois) and punter Sterling Hofrichter (Valrico, Florida) were selected to the 27-man team on special teams.

The All-ACC team resulted from a vote of 173 media members credentialed for last week’s ACC Kickoff event in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Syracuse’s four all-conference selections ranked second only to league favorite Clemson, which had a whopping 13 players picked. Miami had three players make the team, followed by Boston College and Florida State with two each. Duke, Pittsburgh, and Virginia each had one player voted to the team.
