UTICA, N.Y. — A Rochester company has acquired the Utica–based construction business Charles A. Gaetano Construction Corp. and its spinoff company C2C Construction Solutions LLC.
The Pike company, a fifth-generation construction business, retained all employees and upper management including in-office and field staff.
“Pike was interested in establishing a Central New York office, and it made sense to merge with an established company like ours that has a loyal customer base,” Gaetano Construction President Brian Gaetano said in a press release. “The merger ensures no interruption in our local operation and provides job security for all of our employees. It’s a great day for Gaetano Construction.”

Founded in 1960, Gaetano is a full-service general contracting, construction management, and design-build construction firm. The second-generation company’s portfolio includes work in the commercial, industrial, health care, government, and apartment-construction markets. The company has been in business for more than 60 years.
Gaetano’s success with metal buildings and various projects in the design-build delivery method led the firm to create C2C Construction Solutions in 2018. C2C provides both design and construction services in Central and Northern New York, including a recently announced distribution center in Schuyler that Home Depot will lease. C2C works on projects of all sizes including plant renovations and rehabilitations, wood-framed buildings, and all types of metal buildings.

Pike operates two construction companies. The Pike Company, Inc. provides services to non-residential markets, and LECESSE Construction Services focuses on the multi-family residential market including senior housing, apartments, and student housing.
