Oswego Health board of directors selects Alberts as new chair

Ed Alberts

OSWEGO, N.Y. — The Oswego Health board of directors has named Ed Alberts as its next chairman.

Alberts, a local entrepreneur and philanthropist, had been serving as the board’s vice chair for the past two years.

He succeeds Atom Avery in the chairman role. Avery remains on the board as past chair, per an Oswego Health announcement.

The board voted on the leadership change during its annual meeting held June 27.

Alberts currently owns several businesses with locations spread throughout Central New York and the greater New York City area — they include Little Lukes Childcare Centers, WIRED Telcom, and F45 Training.

Besides volunteering his time with Oswego Health, Alberts has provided philanthropic support to the Oswego Health Foundation. He’s also been “instrumental” in the growth and development of the health-care system, Oswego Health contended. Alberts is also a member of the Richard S. Shineman Foundation board of directors.
