HERKIMER, N.Y. — Arc Herkimer will host in-person hiring sessions on April 21 and April 28 from 4-6 p.m. at 350 South Washington St. in Herkimer. Both sessions are open to the public and walk-ins are welcome.

The agency is looking to fill several open positions and will conduct on-site interviews for direct-support professionals (DSP) and residential-support managers. The DSP position does not require a diploma, GED, or prior experience. Arc Herkimer will fully train staff in direct care. Full-time, part-time, and relief schedules are available with a starting pay rate of $15.25 per hour or more based on education and experience.

“Every DSP plays such an important role in our organization,” Arc Herkimer Recruitment Specialist Ashley Jones said in a news release. “They not only assist our people supported in their daily lives, such as cooking and medications, but they empower individuals through exciting activities and community involvement.”
