NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. — Utica Gas & Electric Federal Credit Union (FCU) recently announced Lori Brown as its new president and CEO. She succeeds John Deecher, former CEO/president, after his retirement.
Prior to assuming the top job, Brown has overseen operations at the credit union for a long time, including being involved in strategic planning, risk management, and lending operations, Utica Gas & Electric FCU said in a release.
Brown is a graduate of Clarkson University with a bachelor’s degree in mathematics. She began her career with Utica Gas & Electric FCU after graduation and has more than 25 years’ experience. The credit union contends Brown has been the epitome of its philosophy: “People helping people.”
Utica Gas & Electric FCU is headquartered at 215 Old Campion Road in New Hartford. The credit union’s members are employees of National Grid and 30 other businesses, along with the workers’ family members. It has more than $89 million in total assets and about 3,200 members, according to National Credit Union Administration data.
