Tioga Downs, Vernon Downs to expand their hours beginning April 5

NICHOLS, N.Y. — Both Tioga Downs Casino Resort in Nichols in Tioga County and Vernon Downs Casino Hotel in Vernon in Oneida County are extending their hours.

The company operating both casinos announced the extended hours as “New York State lawmakers begin to ramp up reopening measures.” Jeffrey Gural owns both venues.

Beginning April 5, Tioga Downs will be open Sunday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3 a.m.

The Tioga Rewards Players Club will be open 9 a.m-12 a.m. daily. Additionally, bars and restaurants at the casino resort will continue to adhere to the 11 p.m. curfew as well as enforce all safety protocols and procedures. The casino-floor capacity limit will remain at the mandated 25 percent.

Vernon Downs

Also beginning April 5, Vernon Downs Casino Hotel will be open Sunday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12 a.m., and on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 a.m.

The Vernon Rewards Club will be open Sunday through Thursday 9 a.m. to 11 p.m. and on Fridays and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 1 a.m.

The Kitchen, a new restaurant, will be open Wednesday through Saturday from 3 p.m. to 8 p.m. and for brunch on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Mr. G’s Food & Spirits — Vernon Downs’ casual fine dining restaurant — will be resuming its full menu and is open from Thursday to Saturday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. The Triple 777 Café, which offers burgers, sandwiches, and salads, will be open every day from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
