Greater Binghamton Chamber to host virtual event BingBizCon on Thursday

The Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce will host BingBizCon, a virtual conference for business professionals, on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

The event includes nine breakout sessions, a keynote lunch, the inaugural family-owned Business of the Year Award, speed networking, and a one-hour virtual and interactive business showcase.

BingBizCon debuted in 2019, replacing a 30-year, traditional business expo. The event had 200 people in attendance and was designed to address the “most pressing” topics expressed by chamber members, along with providing exhibiting opportunities.

The Greater Binghamton Chamber had to postpone the June 2020 in-person event and reorganized it as a virtual event.

“Thought leaders” from across the nation and the United Kingdom will lead the breakout sessions in three main tracks that include human resources, leadership development, and marketing, the chamber said.

BingBizCon will also include a keynote presentation with local filmmaker Daniel Masciari and Visit Binghamton’s film office, followed by the inaugural presentation of the Family-Owned Business of the Year Award.

The day will conclude with a virtual, interactive business showcase, giving attendees and exhibitors the opportunity to interface with each other via a live video chat using the web conference portal.
