CICERO, N.Y. — Drakos Clinical Dynamics, a DeWitt–based company that opened a pediatric urgent-care center in Clay in May 2023, is expanding its services with a second urgent-care location in Syracuse’s northern suburbs.
Renovation work on the 3,000-square-foot location at 5586 Legionnaire Drive in Cicero is underway, and the space is scheduled to open this February.
Drakos Urgent Care will lease space at the location, which is the same building that was once home to a St. Joseph’s Health Primary Care Center, the organization tells CNYBJ in an email.

Inflation and Insurance Rates: How to Offset the Impact
Many industries have been hit by inflation where it hurts the most, our pockets. Inflation is raising the price of goods and services including food, housing, transportation, and medical care.
CNYBJ also inquired about the project cost and how Drakos is financing the move but didn’t get a response before press time.
This expansion represents a “significant milestone” for Drakos as it “broadens the scope” of its urgent care to serve both pediatric and adult patients, per a Drakos release.
The business launched as CineMedics in 2020 to provide medical care and testing on major movie sets during the coronavirus pandemic. Now operating under the new name, it also provides urgent care and mobile-medical services. Drakos Clinical Dynamics is headquartered at 6333 New York Route 298 (or One Telergy Parkway near Carrier Circle) in DeWitt in the KPH Healthcare Services Inc. building.
Drakos says it now has more than 40 providers, nurses, and support staff between its two urgent-care locations.
The Cicero office will offer traditional urgent-care services for children and adults, as well as advanced onsite laboratory testing, onsite x-rays, and Drakos’ IV and intramuscular-wellness program services.
Heather Drake Bianchi, founder and CEO of Drakos Clinical Dynamics, says her company has a “commitment to delivering healthcare without walls,” emphasizing the importance of reaching patients wherever they are, whether at home, the workplace, or another safe location.
The new Cicero urgent-care location will “extend this commitment, providing accessible and inclusive healthcare for patients of all ages,” per the release.
The first Drakos office, which opened in May 2022, focuses on pediatric urgent care, having addressed the health-care needs of more than 3,000 children to this point. The location at the Clay Medical Center at 8100 Oswego Road also provides care for their family members in the same visit.
With the expansion to a second location, Drakos Clinical Dynamics contends it is ready to meet the “broader and growing” health-care demands of the community by offering specialized care for both pediatric and adult patients.
In response to the evolving health-care landscape “exacerbated” by the COVID-19 pandemic, Drakos Clinical Dynamics says it has been dedicated to providing mobile and concierge medical services, as well as medical, laboratory, and risk-mitigation logistics for large-scale events and productions.
“As we continue to grow and innovate, we are excited about the possibilities of shaping the future of healthcare,” Drake Bianchi said in the release. “We welcome new partners who share our enthusiasm for innovation, creativity, and inclusivity for positive impacts in healthcare delivery.”
