UTICA, N.Y. — Oneida County reported nine new COVID-19 infections in its weekend updates.
The new infections bring the current case total to 2,246 as of Sunday afternoon.
The county reported five new cases on Saturday, four on Sunday, and reported no deaths either day. The county’s COVID-19 death toll stands at 121.

In its Saturday update, Oneida County noted that “upon further investigation,” one positive case was removed from Friday’s total.
The Sunday update indicated four patients are hospitalized in Oneida County, all in Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS).
Oneida County’s Sunday report also indicates that the county has 66 active positive cases and that 2,059 positive cases have been resolved. The county also reports 66 people are in mandatory isolation and 612 are in mandatory quarantine.
In addition, health-care workers have conducted 106,669 tests, with 104,423 negative results.
Neither the Saturday nor the Sunday update included any potential public exposures to COVID-19.
