Symphoria to live stream concerts in ninth season; no audiences through at least November

Beginning with the first concert Sept. 26, musicians will perform socially distanced on stage with health-department reviewed safety precautions at Inspiration Hall through November.

All September, October and November concerts will have no in-person audiences. Beyond November, concert audiences will be permitted only according to state guidelines, per Symphoria’s news release.

Programs are subject to change, and the details about each program “may evolve throughout the season to be responsive to community health needs.”

Symphoria also acknowledged the Feng family, owners of Inspiration Hall and technology firm PEC, Inc, for providing the venue and live-streaming capabilities.

“Especially during these unprecedented times, we know how important classical music is to our patrons and concert-goers,” Lawrence Loh, music director of Symphoria, said. “The musicians of Symphoria are committed to bringing live music to our loyal audience throughout the 2020-21 season. I know it will be a season long remembered for its innovative thinking, out of the box creativity and artistic excellence … all hallmarks of what makes Symphoria so special. Thank you for standing by us, and we look forward to safely seeing you, in person or socially distant!”

Symphoria’s ninth full season, “Expect the Unexpected,” includes 25 concerts in five performance series that include PEC, Inc. Masterworks; Casual; Pops; Allyn Foundation Spark; and Kids.

The organization also noted that season subscriptions, single tickets, and live-stream tickets are all on sale for its 2020-21 season.
