UTICA, N.Y. — Oneida County on Tuesday reported that 23 people tested positive for the coronavirus, up from five cases the day before and six cases two days ago.
Oneida County also reported the following COVID-19 statistics:
- The 23 cases (none are nursing-home residents) brings the county’s total to 1,914
- No new COVID-19-related deaths, 111 total
- 16 coronavirus patients are hospitalized in Oneida County (14 at MVHS, 2 at Rome Memorial), up one from a day ago
- 2 patients are admitted in hospitals outside Oneida County
- 5 hospitalized patients in the county are nursing-home residents receiving acute care (4 at MVHS, 1 at Rome Memorial)
- 225 active positive cases, up 19 from a day prior
- 1,578 people with the virus have recovered, up 4 from the day before
- 65,657 total tests have been conducted
- 63,743 total negative results
- 225 people are in mandatory isolation
- 971 are in mandatory quarantine
The county’s infection rate was nearly 2.45 percent in the latest day with 23 positives out of 942 total tests.
