New York State is opening new drive-thru COVID-19 testing sites in Broome and Oneida counties, as well as three Western New York counties, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Monday.

Monroe, Erie, and Niagara counties are the other three counties receiving new testing facilities.

The added sites come after the state on Saturday expanded diagnostic-testing criteria to include all first responders, health-care workers, and essential employees even if they don’t have any symptoms. These workers will be able to get tested for the coronavirus at the new drive-through locations.

Residents who would like to be tested at these facilities must make an appointment by calling (888) 364-3065 or visiting www.covid19screening.health.ny.gov.
