PITTSBURGH, Pa. — Syracuse basketball (15-12, 8-8 ACC) looks for a second straight win when the Orange visit the Pittsburgh Panthers (15-13, 6-11 ACC) on Wednesday night.

You can also stream it through the ESPN app as long as you receive the ACC Network through your TV subscription. Jay Alter and Malcom Huckaby will be on the call.

Syracuse (No. 67 in the NCAA’s NET Ratings) enters Wednesday’s contest in the Steel City fresh off a 79-72 home win vs. Georgia Tech last Saturday afternoon, before an announced Dome crowd of 26,661. The Orange, led by 20 points each from Elijah Hughes and Marek Dolezaj, staged a furious rally from down 11 points at halftime. “This was one of the best second halves we’ve ever played,” Syracuse head coach Jim Boeheim said after the game.

Pittsburgh (No. 101 in NET) comes in reeling from four straight losses. The Panthers most-recent game was a 59-56 home loss to Virginia last Saturday. Pitt is led this season by a trio of scorers that each average about 12 points a game — Justin Champagnie, Trey McGowens, and Xavier Johnson.

Wednesday night’s clash is the 118th all-time meeting between Pittsburgh and Syracuse, with the Orange leading the series 72-45. Syracuse has won six straight games over the Panthers and seven of the last eight — all since former Pitt head coach Jamie Dixon left for TCU. The teams squared off just a month ago, with the Orange emerging victorious by the count of 69-61 at the Dome.

ESPN’s College Basketball Power Index (BPI) gives Syracuse a 50.8 percent chance of beating the Panthers. The projected point differential is 0.2 points. The sports analytics website TeamRankings.com says the Orange have a 48.1 percent chance of winning the game.
