People news: MVHS names Zielinski assistant VP of MVHS Medical Group

UTICA, N.Y. — The Mohawk Valley Health System (MVHS) announced it has named Mary Zielinski assistant VP of the MVHS Medical Group.

In this role, she will provide direction and leadership for the MVHS Medical Group operations, including staffing and resource allocation. Zielinski will oversee project planning, process improvement and compliance. She will also provide guidance, strategic business planning, and development, according to an MVHS news release.

 Zielinski previously served as regional administrator at Upstate Services Group in Albany, where she managed the operations of four skilled nursing facilities. Prior to that, she was an administrator for Upstate Services Group, Capstone Center for Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Amsterdam, where she was responsible for organizational development.

 Zielinski earned a master’s degree in health care administration from Utica College and a bachelor’s degree in human development from SUNY Oswego.

 Zielinski’s office is based at the Faxton Campus at 1676 Sunset Avenue in Utica.
