ONEIDA, N.Y. — State Police in Oneida announced they have arrested a town of Eaton man for attempting to rob a convenience store.

Jeremy L. Cook, age 22, was arrested for 1st degree attempted robbery, a felony, and 4th degree criminal possession of a weapon, a misdemeanor.

Cook is accused of entering the A-N-W EZ Mart store on State Route 26 in Eaton at about 11 p.m. on Monday night with a knife and demanding money from the cashier, the State Police said in a news release.
