People news: SRC names Kramer assistant VP of counter-UAS programs

Bill Kramer

CICERO, N.Y. — SRC, Inc. announced it has appointed William (Bill) Kramer assistant VP of counter-UAS (unmanned aircraft systems) programs.

In his new role, Kramer will lead the continued development and deployment of SRC’s counter-UAS systems to detect and defeat hostile UAS threats, the company said in a news release.

He will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the business unit and interface with new and existing counter-UAS customers. With a “rapidly growing” drone market, and “rising threat” from hostile drones, Kramer will play an “integral role in ensuring” SRC’s ability to continue providing counter-UAS capabilities to customers, the firm contends.

“Bill has been a big part of the success of some of SRC’s most impactful radar programs,” Paul Tremont, CEO of SRC, said in the release. “His extensive knowledge of our systems, programs and customers help SRC to continue providing innovative counter-UAS solutions that help keep our warfighters safe.”

Kramer joined SRC as a senior program manager and was later promoted to business area manager.

In 2011, Kramer was elevated to program director, LCMR (lightweight counter mortar radar) and was responsible for the financial performance of all programs and contracts with government, commercial, and international customers.

Before joining SRC, Kramer worked for Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE: LMT) as a program manager responsible for managing U.S. Department of Defense radar and command and control systems contracts.

Kramer also previously held a senior manager position at RLM Systems Pty. Ltd, where he was assigned to the Jindalee operational radar network project.
