Bergmann acquires William Taylor Architects

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — Bergmann PC — a Rochester–based architecture, engineering, and planning firm — has acquired William Taylor Architects PLLC, which was located at 6432 Baird Ave. in the town of DeWitt.

The acquisition closed on May 24, Bergmann said in an email response to a BJNN inquiry. Bergmann didn’t disclose any financial terms of its acquisition agreement with William Taylor in its Wednesday news release.

William Taylor’s four employees have joined Bergmann’s Syracuse’s office at 224 Harrison St., which already has eight employees. The Syracuse office is part of Bergmann’s Northeast Buildings division.

“Whether it be through new hires, adding more office locations, or acquiring firms that expand our capabilities and resources, we’re always looking for ways to better serve our clients and strengthen Bergmann,” Andrew Raus, Bergmann’s VP of Northeast Buildings, said in the release. “We believe the team from William Taylor Architects will be a valuable addition to our architectural practice in New York state and beyond.”

William Taylor, former president of William Taylor Architects, joined Bergmann as a principal architect, per the company’s email response.

Besides its Rochester and Syracuse offices, Bergmann also has New York offices in Albany, Buffalo, and Horseheads. Bergmann also has offices in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; Toledo, Ohio; Jacksonville, Florida; and Michigan offices in Grand Rapids and Lansing, per its website.

The firm has more than 400 professional and technical staff.
