RICHFIELD SPRINGS, N.Y. — New York State Police at Richfield Springs last Thursday arrested Amanda L. Gus, age 33 of Hartwick, for third-degree grand larceny, a felony.
Gus was a store clerk at the Mirabito gas station convenience store on State Highway 205 in Hartwick. Troopers say they received a complaint that money was missing from an ATM at the store and logs were unaccounted for the time period starting in February and ending in April. An investigation determined that Gus was responsible for filling the ATM and did not do so. More than $1,000 was reported to be unaccounted for, according to a State Police news release.
Gus was arrested and arraigned in the village of Richfield court, where she was released on her own recognizance. Her next court date is May 7.
