ONEONTA, N.Y. — New York State Police in Oneonta recently arrested a man for allegedly stealing nearly $2,000 in lottery tickets from the gas station convenience store, for which he worked.

The NYS Police on March 20 charged Tyler R. Green, age 21 of Highmount (Ulster County), with fourth-degree grand larceny, a felony.

The arrest stemmed from an investigation that started last Sept. 4, when troopers were sent to the Speedway on State Highway 23 in the town of Oneonta, responding to a report that Green allegedly stole lottery tickets while employed there. The NYS Police say an investigation revealed that Green was taking lottery tickets in June 2018, with a loss in tickets totaling $1,976. Following his arrest, Green was released on an appearance ticket and ordered to return to the Town of Oneonta Court on April 18.
