“We are proud to continue growing in Oneida County as this furthers our mission to provide high quality, affordable urgent medical care to even more members of the community,” Dr. John Radford, president of WellNow Urgent Care, said in the news release. “WellNow is committed to offering patients across Oneida County with quick and convenient treatment in comfortable, welcoming environments for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses strike.”

WellNow Urgent Care provides “timely” treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses. That includes sprains, strains, colds, and the flu. It also offers on-site X-rays, lab testing and physicals.

Doctors treat patients on a walk-in basis. WellNow also encourages patients to check in online or view up-to-date facility wait times directly on the company’s homepage “to help reduce wait times.”

Employers can also visit WellNow for occupational-medicine programs, per its news release.

Five Star Urgent Care on Oct. 18 announced it would be rebranding to WellNow Urgent Care, describing it as “a name that best aligns with the company’s mission of providing quick, convenient, patient-centered care with exceptional service,” per its Wednesday news release.

Beginning with its location in Niskayuna in Schenectady County, all existing Five Star locations have transitioned, WellNow said.

WellNow Urgent Care offers treatment for non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses seven days a week from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
