The 240 represents the length of the race in minutes, Tioga Downs said in a news release. It didn’t include any terms of the race-sponsorship agreement.

The race sponsorship is part of a multi-year partnership that makes Tioga Downs the “official casino” of WGI, the organizations announced.

Their partnership seeks to “expand the region’s tourism reach” with packages that complement each other’s properties and New York attractions in general. These include bringing motor-coach groups and tours from other areas.

“For us, the ability to work with another one of the true drivers in terms of regional tourism and economic development, it checks off all of the boxes that you want to see in a partnership. We are excited to grow this into something very meaningful for both sides, and for the Southern Tier at-large,” Michael Printup, president of Watkins Glen International, said in the release

Tioga Downs announced that it will also host a viewing party for the Daytona 500 on Feb. 17 The Daytona 500 is a famous 500-mile-long motor race held annually at Daytona International Speedway in Daytona Beach, Florida. It is part of the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series. The watch party will feature free admission and include interactive games as well as food and drink specials while the race is broadcast throughout the property.
