About the CNY Hackathon
The CNY Hackathon is a two-day, regional intercollegiate offensive/defensive cybersecurity competition held at the end of each fall and spring semester.
It is designed to “improve the state” of computer science and cybersecurity education and better link academia with industry.
The event brings together regional cybersecurity students, faculty, and industry professionals to test students’ ability to “hack it” in a virtual environment that simulates cyberspace. Students participate in challenges “that task each team with defending their systems from attackers in order to maintain control,” as described in the MVCC release.
