SALINA, N.Y. — Barton & Loguidice, D.P.C. (B&L) announced it has acquired Steinmetz Planning Group, a Rochester–based planning, zoning, and civic-engagement firm with an office in Buffalo.
Barton & Loguidice is a Salina–based engineering, planning, environmental and landscape-architecture firm.
The acquisition of the two-person firm is a “move to increase its presence in Western New York and expand its community-planning services,” B&L said. The local firm didn’t disclose any terms of its acquisition agreement.

The acquired firm’s two employees, including principal John Steinmetz, are now part of B&L’s sustainable planning and design group, working out of the existing B&L offices in Rochester and Buffalo.
“We are excited about what this means for our clients and the communities we serve,” Steinmetz said in the B&L news release. “By bringing together our assets to work for the communities across New York and throughout the northeast, our clients will get the best of our joint expertise.”
Barton & Loguidice has more than 250 employees working from New York offices in Salina, Binghamton, Albany, Rochester, Watertown, Ellenville, New Paltz, Newburgh and Brewster, along with locations in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania and Lanham, Maryland.
