What channel is the Syracuse football game on? (vs. Connecticut)

SYRACUSE, N.Y. — The Syracuse Orange football team (3-0, 1-0 ACC) seeks a fourth win to open its 2018 season on Saturday afternoon when it hosts the Connecticut Huskies (1-2), a former Big East rival.

The game kicks off at 4:01 p.m.at the Carrier Dome and will be shown on ESPNEWS. Shawn Kenney and Dustin Fox will be the announcing team.

Syracuse is coming off a 30-7 win over Florida State last Saturday, Sept. 15 at the Carrier Dome. The win, before a crowd of more than 37,000, was Syracuse’s first triumph over the Seminoles since 1966. The Orange posted a 62-10 home win on Saturday, Sept. 8, vs. Wagner, a member of the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS), and the Cuse opened its 2018 campaign on Aug. 31 with a 55-42 win at Western Michigan.

The victory over Florida State and its 3-0 start got the Orange some votes in the latest Associated Press and Coaches Top 25 polls.

UConn, coached by former Syracuse quarterback and assistant coach Randy Edsall, comes to the Dome with its first win of 2018 under its belt after defeating FCS opponent Rhode Island 56-49 last Saturday. The Huskies, however, were defeated handily in their first two games of the season, 62-7 at Boise State and 56-17 vs. UCF.

Syracuse has won its last two meetings with UConn — 31-24 at the Huskies in 2016 and 40-10 at home in 2012. However, Edsall owns a 5-2 record vs. the Orange, including winning his last four meetings against the Cuse from 2007-2010.

If Syracuse, a four-touchdown favorite, wins Saturday, it will be the program’s first 4-0 start since 1991.
