CLINTON, N.Y. — Hamilton College’s Common Ground series presents “The U.S. Energy System” on Wednesday, Nov. 1 at 7:30 p.m. in the college’s chapel.

American Clean Power Association CEO Jason Grumet and economist Dave Banks, a Republican policy analyst focusing on climate change and energy, will debate while the Bipartisan Policy Center’s Energy Program Managing Director Lesley Jantarasami moderates.

The evening’s conversation will explore a range of perspectives on how the business and policy communities are working toward an energy transition that strikes the necessary balance as the U.S. works towards its climate goals, the college said. Federal funding has become available in recent years for building new energy infrastructure, revitalizing domestic energy-related manufacturing, restoring supply chains to domestic facilities, and making clean energy consumer technologies like electric vehicles more affordable and accessible.
