Kathryn Ruscitto, president and CEO of St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center in Syracuse, has joined the board of trustees of the Healthcare Association of New York State (HANYS).
Rensselaer–based HANYS announced its 2014 board membership in a news release distributed on Thursday.
In addition to Ruscitto, Dr. S. Jan Eberhard, a trustee at Arnot Health in Elmira, is also listed among the HANYS trustees.

The Arnot Health system includes Arnot Ogden Medical Center and St. Joseph’s Hospital, both in Elmira, and Ira Davenport Memorial Hospital, located in Bath, according to the Arnot Health website.
The board of trustees also named Dr. Linda Brady, president and CEO of Kingbrook Jewish Medical Center in Brooklyn as the chair for 2014, according to the news release.
In addition to Brady, HANYS board also chose Dr. Scott Cooper, president and CEO of St. Barnabas Hospital in the Bronx, as chair-elect; Stephens Mundy, president and CEO of Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital Medical Center in Plattsburgh, as secretary; and Joel Seligman, president and CEO of Northern Westchester Hospital in Mt. Kisco, as treasurer, HANYS said.
The Healthcare Association of New York State is a statewide hospital and continuing-care association, representing 500 nonprofit and public hospitals, nursing homes, home-care agencies, and other health-care organizations, according to the news release.
