ROME, N.Y. — PAR Technology Corp. (NYSE: PAR) announced that the U.S. Navy has awarded its Rome Research Corp. subsidiary a one-year extension, valued at $5.6 million, to its current contract to provide satellite operations and maintenance services at the Naval Satellite Operations Center (NAVSOC) headquarters in Point Mugu, California.
Under the pact, Rome Research will also service three other detachment sites in Colorado, Maine, and Guam, according to a PAR news release.
NAVSOC operates, manages, and maintains assigned satellites and ground systems, providing continuous global space support, space force enhancement, and space-control operations, in direct support of the Navy’s fleet, the joint warfighter, and interagency organizations.
