PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. — Community Bank Wealth Management Group, a subsidiary of Community Bank System, Inc. (NYSE: CBU), has opened a new location in Plattsburgh.
The office, which opened Aug. 3, will offer financial services to individuals, businesses, and institutions in the Plattsburgh area, Community Bank said in a news release Wednesday. That includes investments, insurance, trust planning, and management.
The 3,000-square-foot building currently houses three employees, along with three to five new hires that Community Bank Wealth Management anticipates will join before the end of the year.

Community Bank Wealth Management is “very excited” about the Plattsburgh location, Paul Restante, group managing director, said in the news release.
“Not only does it allow us to properly showcase the breadth of services we offer, it really is about offering increased convenience to current and future clients in the Plattsburgh area by placing all our wealth management resources under one roof,” said Restante.
Besides the wealth-management group, DeWitt–based Community Bank System, Inc. operates more than 180 bank branches across upstate New York and Northeastern Pennsylvania through its banking subsidiary, Community Bank N.A.
The banking company has assets of about $7.4 billion, according to its news release.
