Naturally Lewis awards $14,000 in grants to 15 Lewis County businesses

LOWVILLE, N.Y. — Naturally Lewis announced it has awarded nearly $14,000 in grants to 15 businesses and organizations in Lewis County through its Small Things, Big Impacts Fund.

Naturally Lewis said it sees the grant funding as an “opportunity designed to support small projects that will have a big impact on our communities.” The awarded projects are estimated to have an economic impact exceeding $40,000 on the local economy.

The Small Things, Big Impacts Fund seeks to assist local businesses and organizations by providing grants of up to $1,000. The focus for the 2023 funding cycle is on boosting the visibility of businesses and organizations, with projects that include signage, branding, digital marketing, packaging, murals/artwork, and mobile visibility, per the Naturally Lewis announcement.

Recipients and projects

Naturally Lewis announced the following names of grant recipients, including information on how the recipients intend to use the money.

  • Azahar Roast House (Lowville) — $664 to assist with logo enhancement and promotional materials
  • Coughlin Printing (Lowville) — $1,000 to help with a trade-show display
  • Foothills Market, LLC (Lowville) — $1,000 to assist with vehicle signage, exterior signage, and interior shelving
  • Grand Slam Safety (Croghan) — $1,000 to help with vehicle and trailer signage
  • Greet on Repeat, LLC (Brantingham) — $1,000 for website upgrades and search-engine optimization
  • Osceola Tug Hill XC Ski Center (Osceola) — $1,000 to assist with exterior signage, vehicle signage, and promotional materials
  • Humble Bee Farms (Lyons Falls) — $1,000 allocated for an in-house product labeling system
  • International Maple Museum Centre (Croghan) — $1,000 for exterior signage
  • Judge’s Quarters B&B (Lowville) — $232 to help pay for directional signage for new venue and promotional materials
  • Lowville Free Library (Lowville) — $1,000 for display shelving
  • Maple Ridge Center, Inc (Lowville) — $1,000 for a logo design, marketing materials, and website design
  • Open Sky Wellness, LLC (Lowville) — $1,000 allocated toward exterior signage and landscaping
  • Snyder’s Sugar Shack LLC (Copenhagen) — $1,000 to help with exterior signage
  • Transitional Living Services of Northern New York (Lowville) — $1,000 to help pay for exterior signage
  • trishMichael, Author (Lowville) — $1,000 for branded materials for events
