VERONA, N.Y. — Educational sessions, vendors, and a keynote address will highlight the 11th annual NY Tech Summit this Thursday and Friday (June 4 and 5) at the Turning Stone Resort Casino in Verona.
NY Tech Summit is described as an “educational event for [information-technology] and business professionals focused on technologies that drive business value,” according to a Tuesday news release about the event.

John Robinson, managing partner and CEO of Glenmont, N.Y.–based Our Ability, will deliver the keynote address on Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m., according to the event’s website.
Robinson’s keynote address, “Overcoming Obstacles – Get Off Your Knees,” will “take the audience on a journey of self-discovery with stories of success and will showcase what it takes to overcome obstacles in life and business,” according to the release.
In his role at Our Ability, Robinson advocates for diversity inclusion and delivers personalized training for organizations. Born a congenital amputee, “his story demonstrates how people can overcome adversity and impact change with a positive mindset,” according to a Feb. 26 news release initially announcing his role as the keynote speaker.
The two-day event also includes 36 educational sessions on topics such as leadership and growth; security and information management; organizational innovation, staffing, and building strategic partnerships.
The Tech Summit will have an exhibit floor with more than 30 vendors and a Tech Sandbox, which provides hands-on access to the latest technologies from manufacturers such as San Jose, California–based Cisco Systems Inc.; Round Rock, Texas–based Dell Inc.; Time Warner Cable Business Class, and Sunnyvale, California–based Juniper Networks (NYSE: JNPR).
