VESTAL, N.Y. — Home Central, a True Value retailer, will host a formal ribbon cutting at its newly renovated Vestal store on Thursday, May 14, and a “renovation celebration” on Saturday, May 16.
Home Central, located at 199 Stage Road and owned by Don and Aaron Gowan, has been in business for 30 years. The owners recently completed “major renovations” to the store to make it a “Destination True Value,” according to a news release. This is a special designation that requires a store to remerchandise and refurbish according to detailed True Value specifications, the release stated.
The owners have improved product assortments, added new signage, and made other changes to make the store more shopper-friendly as well as having an overall brighter appearance.

The store is open Monday to Friday, from 7:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.; Saturday, from 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.; and Sunday, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
