SCHENECTADY, N.Y. — MVP Health Care (MVP) has hired Dominick Bizzarro as executive vice president of business development and informatics, and Carole Montepare as vice president of client engagement.
Bizzarro will lead business and partner development, network strategy, and informatics at the Schenectady–based health insurer, MVP said in a news release. He has more than 25 years experience in product development, management, marketing, health-care delivery, and information technology.
Prior to MVP, Bizzarro was the managing director for Healthshare Intersystems Corp., based in Cambridge, Massachusetts.

Montepare has “a great deal of experience and success in sales and service in the managed-care industry,” MVP said. Most recently, she spent nine years at CDPHP as senior vice president for sales, leading sales and relationship-management functions. Prior to that, Montepare held leadership roles with Group Health Incorporated (GHI), Kaiser Permanente, and Community Health Plan (CHP).
MVP Health Care employs 1,500 people and has 700,000 total members across New York state, the company says.
MVP is the sixth-largest health insurer in Central New York, ranked by number of members, according to the 2015 Book of Lists. The health insurer has more than 62,000 members in Central New York. MVP employs 36 people in the region.
