MACNY will commemorate their accomplishments with a plaque on the Manufacturers Wall of Fame at the organization’s headquarters in DeWitt.

Freund and Maines will accept their awards during MACNY’s 102nd annual dinner at the Oncenter in Syracuse on May 21.

The Wall of Fame selection committee is “pleased” to announce Freund and Maines as the 2015 inductees, Randy Wolken, MACNY president, said in a news release.

“Manufacturing has long been the backbone of Central New York, and both David [and] Cheryl are two of the many exemplary leaders of manufacturing in our region. On behalf of the Wall of Fame selection committee and the manufacturing community as a whole, I would like to congratulate both Dave and Cheryl on their well-deserved induction into the Manufacturers Wall of Fame. I look forward to honoring their achievements at MACNY’s 102nd annual dinner in Syracuse,” said Wolken.

Freund and Maines are members of the 15th class that MACNY inducts into the Manufacturers Wall of Fame, joining past inductees who have given “lifetime contributions and dedication” to the region’s manufacturing base and community, according to the organization’s news release.

MACNY will also recognize the “lifetime achievements” of past inductees during the annual dinner, the organization said.

Initiated in 2001, the Manufacturers Wall of Fame salutes community leaders who have demonstrated “long-standing dedication and commitment” to manufacturing in upstate New York, MACNY said.
