Greek Peak formally opens Trax Pub & Grill

VIRGIL — Greek Peak Mountain Resort today formally opened Trax Pub & Grill, a new restaurant located at the base of the Cortland County ski resort.

The opening of Trax Pub & Grill is part of the overall plan that new owners Marc Stemerman and John Meier have for the resort, the business said in a news release.

The two Elmira businessmen on March 21 acquired Greek Peak Mountain Resort and Hope Lake Lodge following a Chapter 11 bankruptcy auction held in federal Bankruptcy Court in Syracuse.

Renovations have continued over the past six months to prepare the restaurant for the resort’s winter activities.

Trax Pub & Grill will offer a pub-style menu to visitors during the winter season.

The resort will schedule musical acts to entertain guests every Saturday night from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Construction on the project will continue in the spring when crews will put up a deck that will span the creek at the base of the mountain.
