CORTLAND — Cortland Regional Medical Center (CRMC) has named Mark Webster as its new CEO, effective in early January 2014.
Webster comes to Cortland from Ogdensburg in St. Lawrence County, where he has served as president and CEO of Claxton-Hepburn Medical Center for 10 years, CRMC said in a news release.
“I have been impressed with the physicians, governance members and hospital staff and feel confident that the organization can prosper and grow” Webster said about CRMC in the release.

Prior to Claxton-Hepburn, Webster was a senior vice president of Guthrie Health System in Sayre, Pa. He also previously served as president of Troy Community Hospital, also located in Pennsylvania.
Altogether, Webster has nearly 28 years in senior-leadership positions within health-care organizations, according to CRMC.
“The [CRMC] board [of directors] is confident that his proven healthcare leadership experience will serve us very well as we move forward in meeting our strategic goals,” Nancy Rongo, board chairperson, said in the news release.
