On Friday, Oct. 18, City of Ithaca Mayor Svante Myrick will join staff and board members of the Downtown Ithaca Alliance to formally welcome one new business and one relocated business to downtown Ithaca.
At 11:00 a.m., officials will hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony for Norabloom Botanicals and Beauty Lounge’s new location above Mia Restaurant on the Ithaca Commons at 130-132 East State St., Suite 201, the Downtown Ithaca Alliance said in a news release.
Formerly located in Fall Creek, Norabloom has expanded from a one-woman skincare business to a full-service spa — offering its own line of organic skincare products and a range of bodywork services including facials, waxing, massage, and cosmetics, according to the Downtown Ithaca Alliance.

At 11:15 a.m. on Friday, officials will stage a ribbon-cutting ceremony for the new Bonjour Coffee Shop at TCAT’s newly rehabilitated flagship Green Street Station — between Green Street Pharmacy and the Tompkins County Public Library, located at 131 East Green St., Suite 3. Proprietor Adil Griguihi, who is also co-owner of the popular Casablanca Pizzeria and Mediterranean Restaurant on the Ithaca Commons, will serve hot coffee, cold drinks, soups, sandwiches, and other refreshments to transit passengers and the general public, the Downtown Ithaca Alliance said. The coffee shop’s hours of operation will be 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sundays.
