SYRACUSE — The St. Joseph’s Hospital Health Center Foundation on Wednesday announced David Panasci as chairman of its board of directors.
Panaci, who has more than 30 years of executive-management experience in the Central New York community, currently serves as president of DHP Consulting, LLC of Camillus.
He is a management consultant with experience in industries that include health care, manufacturing, media and retail, according to St. Joseph’s.

Prior to his current position with DHP Consulting, Panasci served as president and COO of Fay’s Drug Company, Inc., a retail business that operated a chain of regional drug stores under the name, Fay’s Drugs, between 1958 and 1996.
In addition to his service to the St. Joseph’s Hospital Foundation, the Jamesville resident is also a board member for the Syracuse Opera Company and Syracuse 20/20, the hospital said.
Panasci also serves as member of the National Industrial Advisory Council for the University at Buffalo’s School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences and an adjunct assistant professor of pharmacy practice in the same school.
Panasci holds a bachelor’s degree in managerial law and public policy from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in business administration from Cornell University and Queens University in Kingston, Ont., according to St. Joseph’s.
