Susan Budrakey & Associates announces new owner, office location

DeWITT — Susan Budrakey & Associates, an independent-branch office of Cadaret, Grant & Co., Inc. in DeWitt, today named Mary Ann Pierce as its new owner with the retirement of Susan Budrakey.

Susan Budrakey & Associates didn’t disclose any financial terms of the deal.

The firm moves forward under new management at a new office location at 6319 Fly Rd., Suite 4 in DeWitt, which opened Aug. 1.  A Google search lists the office’s previous location at 5010 Campuswood Drive in DeWitt.

Pierce is the “hand-picked heir and successor” in leading the business, Budrakey said in a news release.

“I first met and worked with her almost 20 years ago.  I was delighted when she joined me in this practice almost eight years ago.  Mary Ann completely shares my values, investment style, strategies, and business ethics,” Budrakey said.

Pierce and Budrakey have had a written buy/sell agreement in place for “many” years, so the two colleagues “carefully planned and strategized” this move, Pierce said in the same news release.

Pierce“I consider Susan to be an advisor, mentor and a personal friend, who will be missed by our staff, as well as by the hundreds of clients that Susan has serviced over the previous 30 years.   This transition will be seamless on all accounts; we expect nothing to change for our clients.  We will continue to provide the same high-level of customer service and financial oversight as we always have done,” Pierce said.

Mary Ann Pierce will appear on the WCNY-TV’s “Financial Fitness” program at 8 p.m. on Oct. 10 and will talk about life insurance.

Susan Budrakey & Associates offers retirement planning, investments, financial strategies, and insurance, according to the news release.
