Syracuse Chiefs announce 2014 schedule, ticket plans

SYRACUSE — The Syracuse Chiefs, Triple-A affiliate of the Washington Nationals, on Wednesday announced the team’s 2014 regular-season schedule and details about the team’s “revamped” season-ticket plans.

The Chiefs will again play a 144-game schedule in the International League (IL), which includes 72 games at NBT Bank Stadium and 72 on the road against the IL’s 13 other teams.

Opening Day 2014 is scheduled for April 3 at 2:00 p.m. against the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders at NBT Bank Stadium, the team said in a news release.  The Chiefs will conclude the regular season at home on Sept. 1 against the Buffalo Bisons at 2:00 p.m.

The schedule also includes games on Father’s Day (June 15) and Independence Day (July 4), plus the annual Education Day game scheduled for June 10 at 10:30am.

Fireworks shows will follow every Friday home game from June 27 through the end of the season. The team has also scheduled fireworks for Memorial Day weekend (Sunday, May 25), Independence-Day weekend (Saturday, July 5), and Labor-Day weekend (Sunday, Aug. 31).

The Chiefs will offer eight different season-ticket plans for the upcoming season. They include 72-, 36-, and 18-game Home Plate Club and First Class season tickets, plus the Rail Plan and Coupon Book.

All three Home Plate Club season-ticket plans will include food vouchers and parking passes, the team said.

Home Plate Club and First Class season-ticket holders can exchange unused tickets for the games of their choice, a dedicated season-ticket service line at the ticket office, and season-ticket holder exclusive gifts.

Home Plate Club season tickets will start at only $185 for an 18-game weekend plan while First Class season tickets will start at just $125 for an 18-game weekend plan, the team said.

Both the Rail Plan and Coupon Book will include 10 undated coupons redeemable in any quantity for field box or reserved tickets for any home game except the home opener, according to the Syracuse Chiefs.

The team is also giving fans the option of redeeming coupons by phone and online, in addition to redeeming them in person at the ticket office. The phone and online option is new for 2014 and available with the Rail Plan and Coupon Book plans, the team said.

Coupon Books will cost $60 each and Rail Plans, which will include $25 in concession vouchers, five single-game parking passes, and a season ticket holder exclusive gift, will cost $105 each.

The general public can purchase season tickets beginning Sept. 16 by calling (315) 474-7833, by visiting at SyracuseChiefs.com, or in person at the Chiefs ticket office at NBT Bank Stadium.

Fans can also purchase tickets for all remaining 2013 home games in person at NBT Bank Stadium, the team said.
