Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties hires director of development

UTICA — The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties, Inc. has hired Kristi Brennan as director of development.

 

Before joining the organization, Brennan served as director of development at the YWCA Mohawk Valley. She was also part of the development team at Planned Parenthood Mohawk Hudson and led development at Girl Scouts-Foothills Council, Inc. in New Hartford, the Community Foundation said in a news release.

 

Brennan also handled marketing and membership for The Fort Schuyler Club, private city club in Utica, according to the Community Foundation.

Since 1952, the Community Foundation has promoted philanthropy throughout Herkimer and Oneida counties.

 

In that time, the organization has awarded more than 5,200 grants totaling more than $41 million in support of causes ranging from education, health care, the arts, and the environment.

 

The Community Foundation’s endowment includes 290 funds that generate the grants it awards, the organization said.

 

The Community Foundation of Herkimer & Oneida Counties generated $4.2 million in total revenue in 2011, including $1.5 million in contributions and grants, according to its latest
