French-themed antique shop, The Left Bank, opens in Owego

OWEGO — A new antique shop with a French country theme has opened on River Row in Owego. The Left Bank shop features antique and cottage-painted furniture, linens, purses, jewelry, scarves, and clothing.

The store’s décor features a soft ivory palette, accented by mercury glass, slightly tarnished silver, and old-world treasures, the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce said in a news release.

Lucy Silverstein is owner of The Left Bank. She was formerly co-owner of Rambling Rose Antiques and Gifts in Endicott. “I like the imperfection of time-worn things that don’t mind showing their age,” Silverstein said in the release.
