SYRACUSE — The Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) at Syracuse University has named Nicholas Armstrong an IVMF fellow.
Armstrong is a research fellow at Syracuse University’s Institute for National Security and Counterterrorism. As an IVMF fellow, he will produce research and develop briefs on social, economic, public policy, and wellness issues affecting veterans and military families.
Armstrong joined the counterterrorism institute in 2008. He previously served in the Army for seven years as an artillery officer.

“The IVMF research mission informs and shapes national dialogue on issues and challenges facing our nation’s veterans and military families,” IVMF founder and Executive Director Mike Haynie said in a news release. “As we develop strategic analysis of the issues, the addition of Nick’s expertise and voice will further this mission and our work.
