AUBURN — The Cayuga Community College Office of Experiential Learning will use a $7,000 grant to support and expand cooperative education, internships, and service learning for students.
The grant is from SUNY Works, a State University of New York program funded by the Lumina Foundation to encourage more students to get experience in the workforce while in college. The money will go toward goals the Office of Experiential Learning has been working on, according to the college.
They include creating an experiential learning designation on students’ transcripts and development of a liberal arts internship option. The grant will also go toward attendance at professional development conferences and workshops offered by SUNY.
