New York dairy farmers get lower prices for milk in December

New York dairy farmers received an average of $22.20 per hundredweight of milk sold during December, down 60 cents from November price levels, according to the USDA’s New York field office.

However, December’s average price was up $1.50 from the year-ago period when farmers received $20.70 per hundredweight of milk.
