Sensis system headed for Phoenix airport

DeWITT — The city of Phoenix has chosen a system from Saab Sensis for use at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport.

Sensis’ Aerobahn system will be used to manage airport resources, including gates and the ramp area, to aid efficiency, planning, and responsiveness, according to the company.

Aerobahn uses information such as flight schedules gate information, and connection information and combines it with aircraft surveillance and identification to provide a real-time comprehensive view of airport surface operations, according to Sensis.
