UTICA — The Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) awarded Human Technologies Corp. (HTC) a $2.6 million contract to manufacture chemical helmet covers.
The program will create between six and eight new sewing and production-worker positions with production scheduled to begin in December.
HTC manufactures head harness, canister carriers, chemical helmet covers, coveralls, and other accessory and apparel products for DLA Troop Support, which provides United States armed services members food, clothing, textiles, and other necessary equipment. HTC’s logistics and manufacturing division manufactures and distributes more than 1 million items annually.
