UTICA — The Greater Utica Chamber of Commerce was set to hold a ribbon-cutting ceremony this afternoon to open the restaurant Ancora! officially. The event sought to celebrate the new ownership under Daniel Loconti, and the expansion of the restaurant.
With its name the Italian word for encore, Ancora! is located adjacent to the historic Stanley Theatre at 261 Genesee St. The renovated eatery now boasts concrete-exposed high ceilings, stage lighting, a custom-designed wine tower bar, open kitchen, local artwork, and seasonal outdoor seating, according to its website.
The menu features Mediterranean-inspired cuisine, including a tapas menu. Entrées include dishes like filet mignon, wild mushroom ravioli, and house-made gnocchi with tomatoes.
